Our client, a world leader in offshore drilling has recently agreed to sponsor a chair for the Universiti Teknologi Petronas to establish and develop a Deepwater Technology specialist department with the ultimate aim of having the University recognised by its peers and by the industry as the leading educational and research institution for Deepwater Technology in Asia.

As an expert in Deepwater Technology, you will identify and lead research projects that will contribute to substantial advancements in the field. You will also develop and promote both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes tailored to this area whilst attracting researchers, academics and post graduate students to the University. In addition you will act as an ambassador for the university through external promotion and discourse with both international academia and industry.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Doctoral qualification in the field as well as a broad range of experience in engineering solutions for Deepwater operations together with a track record of writing and presenting papers in related subjects. This is a dual role which requires the ability to liaise with academic and industry leaders whilst delivering lectures and tutorials in an academic environment.
