Geoscientists for Geodata Management



Location: London, Aberdeen, International

DataCo is a dynamic and fast growing independent data management company who will give ambitious individuals the opportunity to significantly develop their careers.

We are currently looking for senior and junior subsurface data managers especially with experience of seismic data to manage our client's geodata. Senior candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience and be looking to expand their areas of responsibility.

We are keen to interview personnel with experience in providing the following:

  • General subsurface data management support of seismic and well data
  • Creation, loading and management of project and corporate data stores
  • Data cleanup programmes, project rationalisation and data migration
  • Data support, including scripting, DBA for Oracle and SQL databases
  • Development and implementation of data management processes, procedures and standards
  • Project and Operations Management
  • Provision of support for regulatory data compliance

The ideal candidates will:

  • Possess excellent customer service and technical skills
  • Be proficient in a number of the following industry software packages, including RECALL, Geolog, Techlog, Petrel, OpenWorks, GeoFrame, SeisWorks, IESX and GIS packages
  • Hold an earth science degree

Work is likely to encompass both DataCo and Client office locations. Successful applicants will receive a competitive package and training with plenty of opportunity for progression.
