Background

The Middle East and Africa (MEA) team based in London is responsible for delivering high quality and timely oil and gas information and analysis embedded into the PSG products and services suite.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated junior analyst to join the MEA team of PSG. Working as an integral part of the team, the Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the contents of the PetroView^® datasets for this region.

Key responsibilities

• Application of Petroleum Geoscience knowledge to research upstream oil and gas data
• Accurate and consistent updating of regional upstream activities within specified deadlines
• Development of industry relationships via telephone, email and face to face meetings
• Participation in industry events such as seminars and conferences to network and build regional knowledge
• Use of regional specific industry expertise to assist in advisory and client support projects
• Supporting client meetings for business development purposes

Requirements

• Educated to degree level in Geoscience related discipline (Petroleum Geoscience knowledge would be an advantage)
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
• Familiarity with any spatial GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or MapInfo is desirable

Additional Information

While this role is based in London, it will involve occasional travelling to support E&P information scouting and client meetings.
