Data Analyst

Drilling Info provides data, analytical software, business intelligence and consulting to support decision making for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. Drilling Info's International Scouting Team features the most knowledgeable and experienced regional oil and gas experts in the business. We are seeking data analysts to join the scouting team at our Stonehouse office located in Gloucestershire, UK.

The data analyst is responsible for gathering, interpretation, QC and entry of information relating to the upstream oil and gas industry into a GIS database system.

Job Functions

Information gathering

Assist our regional experts in gathering E&P information to include current, planned and historic activity covering oil & gas licensing, seismic, drilling, field development, and production.

Information processing

• Processing, standardizing, QC and entry of E&P information into a GIS database system.
• Management of information workflow to ensure accurate, complete and timely population of data.

Product generation

Technical production of drilling Info's international product suite ensuring consistent information is delivered to weekly and monthly deadlines including map generation and contribution to editorial content.

Promotion of DI International products

Interfacing with clients and the industry to support the Drilling Info international product suite and promote DI International at industry events

Qualifications and background

Educated to degree level preferably in an earth science. Requires good IT skills, written & spoken English and some experience in databases and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Experience in upstream oil & gas industry and foreign language an advantage.
