Contract Geophysical Advisor



Eden Scott has been engaged to source a Contract Geophysical Advisor to join an aggressive Oil company in Aberdeen, Scotland. Working in a highly skilled multidiscipline team, you will be responsible for the integration and interpretation of geophysical data over existing fields to identify future drilling opportunities.

Start Date: ASAP
Daily Rate: £750 to £1200 (Dependant on level of relevant experience)
Duration: Ongoing (can offer short-term or long-term contracts, dependent on individual circumstances)
Hours: Can offer part-time or full-time hours

Responsibilities

  • Carry out interpretation of time seismic and 3D depth data
  • Identify and the subsequently justify additional acquisition, modeling and processing projects to improve the value of seismic data
  • Project Manage processing, acquisition and modeling projects
  • Carry out depth conversion and also mapping
  • Work alongside other members of the subsurface team to construct and maintain subsurface field models
  • Evaluate and communicate any geophysical risks to team and management

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in relevant earth science
  • Extensive knowledge of petroleum geophysics
  • Sound working knowledge of north sea geological locations
  • Good working knowledge of Model building workflows
  • Good working experience of rock physics
  • Extensive knowledge of Petrel and Kingdom
