We are seeking a technician to join our Petroleum Geoscience team. The person will provide technical support for a variety of projects, including data loading, compilation of scientific data, working with GIS based data, and assisting with writing technical reports.

The ideal candidate would have:

• A degree in geology and/or geophysics and an understanding of New Zealand geology;
• Good computer skills including Excel and Word, as well as familiarity with linux, and scripting;
• Experience with geological data sets including maps, digital data from wells, seismic and petroleum data;
• Experience of loading seismic data;
• A track record of demonstrating attention to detail;
• Excellent relationship and team skills.

This key role will provide technical support to scientists working on a range of petroleum-related projects.
