Engineering Graduate Training Programme

Established in 1943, SAICA Packaging is one of the leading European packaging groups. We are a privately owned, pan European business specialising in the manufacture of recycled papers and packaging and operating world-class facilities.

Graduate Programme - with European Placement

We are looking for talented and ambitious graduates from selected Engineering disciplines to join us at a time of exciting change and remarkable growth, to participate in a £250m investment project in the UK. Dependant on degree background, graduates will be placed in one of the following roles: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Plant Engineering or Operational Engineering.

Candidate requirements

  • You will be a recently qualified or experienced graduate with a 2:1 degree or above.
  • You will also be a strong team player who thrives on challenge and has demonstrable leadership potential.
  • Ideally, you will have some practical engineering experience through a university placement, work experience or extra curricular activities.
  • You will enjoy working in challenging, technical and physical environments. A high level of flexibility and geographical mobility is vital.
  • A working knowledge of French/Spanish is desirable, but not essential.

Training and European Placement

Successful candidates will be fully trained and supported in their development within world class state-of-the-art facilities during a 6-18 month placement at a SAICA plant in Spain. Once the programme is complete you will then return to the UK to lead key plant based operational projects, ultimately developing into a middle or senior manager.
