We are now recruiting for the following posts:

Ikon GeoPressure is the leading provider of consultancy, training and regional studies of subsurface pressures and is expanding with opportunities for one or more experienced geoscientists. The immediate position(s) are in the Durham, UK and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but opportunities may soon exist in overseas offices (Calgary, Perth W.A, Houston and Rio de Janeiro) after initial appointment in the UK.

We are seeking an experienced consultant to mentor less experienced staff as well as manage a range of projects independently as well as assisting existing managers. Good report writing skills are required as well as an ability to critically review reports written by others. Applicants must have a good working knowledge of petroleum geology with specific knowledge of pressure related geology. We would expect the applicant to have an in depth knowledge of more than one basin/region.

Experience, skills and ability required:

• Advanced degree in Geology, Geophysics or Engineering
• 10 years minimum industry experience, with at least 5 years pressure-related activities
• Good report writing skills
• Proven team player
• Experience in mentoring/supervision
• Good software skills
• Good communications skills
• Off-shore or operations experience is a benefit
• Willingness to travel
