Senior Geoscientist for Independent E&P Company, London




Our client Seven Energy, requires an experienced Senior Geoscientist to join their existing team.

Your primary responsibility/undertaking will be to the understanding of their existing geological assets and their potential. This will involve the full life cycle from exploration to development and production. Seven Energy have several assets which will be developed throughout the course of 2010-2011. With a structured growth plan in place, the role will be varied and rewarding as you will have a major role to play in the development of the company.

Seven Energy is an independent oil & gas development and production company with its primary base in London. As a company their primary focus is gas field development - they seek scalable opportunities to leverage their international standard operating capability to monetise undeveloped resources. Their main operations are in Nigeria.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct high quality geological and seismic interpretations in support of Seven Energy's goals
  • Prepare robust geologic and reservoir models to support our reserves evaluations and basis for CPRs
  • Assist in the screening and assessment of business development opportunities as required.
  • Mature exploration opportunities from ideas and leads into prospects and drillable targets
  • Manage data room work for our M&A Group and have the ability to generate fast and accurate data room assessments.
  • Generate volumetrics and reserves estimations
  • Identify exploration and appraisal opportunities for participation in license rounds, farm-ins, asset deals and other business opportunities.
  • Information Management of Seven's subsurface data

The successful candidate will have 10-15 years experience working as a Geologist / Geophysicist / Geoscientist with a minimum of 2:1 at degree level (ideally). You will have strong skills in the following areas: geoscience workstation tools with 2D and 3D workstation interpretation, the ability to integrate 2D and 3D seismic interpretation into geologic data, Volume interpretation, geomodelling and AVO experience highly advantageous.
