Marketing GeologistMidland Valley provides structural geology software and consulting services to the upstream oil, gas and mineral industries worldwide. We are actively expanding the company and are looking for a Marketing Geologist to help promote our products and services. Applicants must have a good first degree in geology and a strong desire to understand the approach that we take to structural geology and kinematic modelling. You must have excellent written and oral communication skills and you will work closely with all members of the Midland Valley team, which includes structural geology specialists and software engineers. An essential part of your role will be to help us generate new sales of our market leading software Move, and to facilitate communication with new and existing clients. Experience in marketing earth science related products and services, or a general marketing qualification, would be advantageous, but is not essential. Key to this position will be your input to the design and production of all marketing material. It is therefore essential that the candidate is a creative person with a flair for graphic design. The role also includes a requirement for international travel and the successful applicant will demonstrate an awareness of varying cultures and demographics and the implications this may have on marketing.
