FieldMove Geologist - Field Mapping
and digital applications

Midland Valley is a world leader in the field of structural geology and the development of software modelling tools using structural validation, restoration and forward modelling to provide best practice workflows and reduce structural uncertainty. We are currently building new tools and applications for digital field mapping on a variety of platforms and we are looking for an experienced geologist with outstanding field mapping skills to help us lead and innovate the next generation of FieldMove products.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in geology with a strong field mapping component. You should have experience of digital field mapping using current technology and a strong desire to improve these systems. Applicants should have worked in a range of geotectonic environments and have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will also be expected to travel internationally to help promote the FieldMove products and to publish examples of your work in international journals. A competitive salary packages commensurate with experience will be offered to the successful candidate.

The Midland Valley office is located in Glasgow City Centre in the west of Scotland close to the Loch Lomond National Park and many other areas of outstanding natural beauty.
