iPad / Android Mapping Apps EngineerMidland Valley provides structural geology software and consulting services to the upstream oil, gas and mineral industries worldwide. We are actively expanding the company and are looking for a iPad / Android Software Engineer to help develop our next generation FieldMove product for the future tablet markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-disciplined individual to join our dynamic team. You will undertake an Apps Team Software Engineering role, and play an important part in the development of our new FieldMove product and technology. You will also be expected to interact closely with Digital Field Mapping geology specialists in our company as you help to develop and improve all aspects of the product. Whether you are a recent graduate, or a seasoned professional with a commercial track record we would equally consider you for this role - as long as you possess good iPad or Android skills. The applicant must possess a minimum of a good first degree in one of Computing Science, GIS, Geology, or Geophysics. Experience in developing GIS or earth science related mapping products/libraries in the mobile sector would be very advantageous, but is not essential.
