Experimentalist Post-Doctoral Associate Position
There is an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research within Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering at University of Oklahoma. We are seeking a “hands-on” person capable of helping in conducting multiple federally funded projects. The main responsibilities include experimental set-up, design, instrumentation and mentoring students in conducting experiments. Familiarity with high pressure high temperature instrumentation design is a plus. Various equipment such as multiphase flow loops, drilling and well completion testing equipment are currently available at the research center.
MPGE is one of the leading petroleum engineering schools in the U.S. Current research activities include drilling, reservoir characterization and management, petrophysics, organic rich shale, chemical flooding, geomechanics, acid fracturing, data assimilation, uncertainty estimation, drilling fluids, formation damage, coiled tubing and stimulation and completion. The school has state-of-the-art teaching and research lab facilities.
