Deepwater Development ConceptsSt James’s, LondonThe chance for a dynamic Facilities Engineer to join a growing team and focus on cutting-edge development projects West of Shetland (WOS). OMV, one of Austria’s largest industrial organisations, is an integrated energy group. In E&P we are a global player with operations in Central & Eastern Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, the Caspian region, Australasia, and North-West Europe (including the UK). We have oil and gas reserves of approximately 1.15 billion boe and our worldwide daily production amounts to more than 300,000 boe/d. We have been established as a UK upstream player for over 20 years. Presently, we are engaged in a major investment programme in the UKCS and our production is set to quadruple in the next 10 years. We continually monitor new business opportunities. Our focus is increasingly WOS where we have assets in exploration, development and production. We have key development projects underway WOS including the Rosebank and Cambo assets and we are engaged in a €3 billion redevelopment project on the producing Schiehallion asset, which should prolong field life to 2035 and beyond. We are looking for a Facilities Engineer to concentrate on our WOS activities. This is a key and visible role within our Development & Production team. The main focus will be to work with partners in selecting economic development concepts for our assets. There will be substantial partner interface and so you should be comfortable operating in joint venture forums. Suitable candidates will be numerate graduates with substantial experience in Facilities Engineering. Ideally you will have been trained and developed by an Operator and may have experience of deepwater environments elsewhere in the world. It is essential that you have concept selection experience and knowledge of subsea systems, flow assurance and deepwater production systems. Skills in forming productive relationships and influencing others will also be required. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
