Senior Reservoir Engineer

OPC is an established consultancy in the upstream Oil & Gas sector supplying the E&P industry with expertise, knowledge and management since 1987. We work globally with major multi nationals, small to medium sized independents and state owned organisations. We provide Projects & Studies, Consultants as well as Technical and commercial training.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Leading Petroleum firm based in the Gulf Region, who is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer for an initial 3 month project.

The project objective is to deliver a report review thorough and comprehensive technical evaluation of subsurface assumptions within the Field Development Plan (FDP).

The major elements of the review will include:

• The reservoir characterization that forms the foundation to the static and dynamic models will be the focus of detailed evaluation.
• The focus will be centered on aspects of the characterization that have a profound effect on history match, development assumptions, and uncertainties in the development plan.
• Base data such as KB elevation and deviation data will be reviewed to ensure all wells are correctly located geographically and stratigraphically.
• The stratigraphic and structural framework will be reviewed via an integrated review of the marker correlation and the seismic interpretation.
• The sedimentological basis for any facies / rock typing framework will be examined using the available core, log, porosity vs. permeability, and conceptual model information.
• The software used will be: Eclipse 100 and 300, PVTi, MBAL, Saphir, OFM & Prosper
