Subsea Operations Manager - Malaysia



An international oil and gas operating company has a requirement for a Subsea Operations Engineer to work on a major overseas oil production operation. The position will be based in Malaysia. This appointment will be preferably on a staff basis but contract basis will be considered. The salary/rate will be internationally competitive and is dependent upon the experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. Must be willing to travel as and when required by Company.

Duties

  • Manage all activities associated with operation of a 16-well subsea production system
  • Manage team of 3 subsea engineers
  • Preparation and control of subsea OPEX budget
  • Overall responsibility for integrity of subsea production system
  • Responsible for meeting subsea system availability targets
  • Manage subsea scope for field expansion projects
  • Manage implementation of field wide ROV work programme for subsea system and other underwater assets (hulls, mooring lines) including diving.
  • Compliance with Company and industry standards and Safety leadership in all aspects of work
  • Transfer of technology to Malaysian workforce

Experience

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years previous experience in production operations with at least 8 years deepwater subsea operations.
  • Candidates must have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Candidate should hold current Offshore Survival & Medical Certificates and be fluent in both oral and written English.
