Subsea Operations Manager - Malaysia
An international oil and gas operating company has a requirement for a Subsea Operations Engineer to work on a major overseas oil production operation. The position will be based in Malaysia. This appointment will be preferably on a staff basis but contract basis will be considered. The salary/rate will be internationally competitive and is dependent upon the experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. Must be willing to travel as and when required by Company.
Duties
- Manage all activities associated with operation of a 16-well subsea production system
- Manage team of 3 subsea engineers
- Preparation and control of subsea OPEX budget
- Overall responsibility for integrity of subsea production system
- Responsible for meeting subsea system availability targets
- Manage subsea scope for field expansion projects
- Manage implementation of field wide ROV work programme for subsea system and other underwater assets (hulls, mooring lines) including diving.
- Compliance with Company and industry standards and Safety leadership in all aspects of work
- Transfer of technology to Malaysian workforce
Experience
- Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years previous experience in production operations with at least 8 years deepwater subsea operations.
- Candidates must have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Candidate should hold current Offshore Survival & Medical Certificates and be fluent in both oral and written English.
