 Exploration Geologist - EXPAT - IndonesiaThe client is a large independent operator who requires a Senior Exploration Geologist to join their team. The position is available due to the rapid growth and success the company have experienced throughout South East Asia. The candidate will play a key role in the exploration team reporting direct to the exploration manager. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring and supervising the junior exploration staff. Responsibilities •Work in a multi disciplinary team within the exploration department •Play level and prospect evaluation of selected basins throughout Indonesia •Finalise drilling plans, assist in real-time well decisions and evaluate well results •Work alongside the Reservoir Engineer to determine reserves •Coordinate exploration budget and monitoring •Provide expertise on all technical aspects of exploration •Develop exploration model costs Experience •Proven experience as an exploration geologist •BSc or equivalent in an Earth Science related subject •Working knowledge of Seismic Interpretation •Understanding of the carbonate system •Ability to integrate structural models with 3D data sets •Experience of presenting to partners and exploration team •Experience in mentoring junior exploration staff is desirable To discuss this position and similar roles please contact Oscar Associates quoting reference LK15290 |
