 Senior Development Geophysicist - Houston, TexasSenior Development Geophysicist - Houston My Client, A leading medium sized European operator currently requires a Senior Development Geophysicist for their rapidly expanding Houston office. You would be focused on this operators global portfolio including North Sea, West Africa and Latin America as well as GoM. The Position The successful candidate will be working as a team member in a multi-disciplinary team of geoscientists and engineers responsible for planning field developments from this operators global portfolio. These development studies generally include comprehensive static and dynamic modelling, evaluation and optimization of development concepts, facility design, and economic prognosis. The Geophysicist is responsible for all geophysical aspects of the field development proposal, and would take full accountability for developing field geophysical interpretations combining inputs using primarily 3D and occasionally 4D data sets. The fields concerned are currently operated assets, and evaluations of New Business development opportunities. Work will primarily be carried out in Houston, with occasional short visits to other countries as necessary. Requirements • As this is a Senior role you will have significant experience as a seismic interpreter, with significant exposure to a development environment in an operating E & P company • Fluent in written and spoken English • Minimum education at BSc level, higher degree desired • Candidates need to combine good working geological understanding with in-depth geophysical knowledge including advanced level workstation interpretation and mapping (Petrel, Landmark, GeoQuest, etc.), quantitative interpretation, inversion, reservoir characterisation, depth conversion and uncertainty analysis. • Knowledge and experience of time lapse seismic analysis would be highly regarded. • Successful candidates will be self-starters, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment To discuss this position and similar roles please contact Oscar Associates quoting reference ac14987 |
