 Senior Appraisal geophysicist - Contract

My Client seeks an experienced seismic interpreter to work in a small multi-disciplinary supporting the evaluation of a number of discoveries. The post will report to a Sub-surface Team Leader. Initially the post will be approximately a 1 year duration although this could run indefinately, to work with new seismic data validating existing interpretations, and to determine the forward work programme.
Accountabities
interpretation of 3D seismic for:
• Structural framework input into static reservoir model
• Geological facies mapping
• Attribute analysis for identification of geological se tting and direct hydrocarbon indicators
• Identifying potential appraisal and development well locations
Interpreter input into processing and re-processing projects
Working with reservoir engineers to build simulation models and input into depletion plan
Resource estimation
Presentation of work to key stakeholders
The successful candidates will have a strong geophysical background and experience of turbidite reservoirs. Experience of salt related structural geology and seismic processing and Pre-Stack Depth Migration would be advantageousComprehensive experience across a range of Landmark petrotechnical applications is required and some experience of both GeoProbe and RMS would be preferred.
Able to work effectively within a multi-discipline multi-national team and to coach junior staff.
