![]() Marine Superintendant - Aberdeen, ScotlandAn oil operator in Aberdeen are looking for a Marine Superintendent to support the Asset & Technical Groups (Production, Drilling, Exploration, Subsea and HSEQ) Marine Operations (tanker operations excepted) in respect of Marine Standards, Processes & Safety and to ensure the Assets are supported cost effectively without compromising safety. The Position The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key roles and responsibilities: Analyse and calculate company PSV, SBV & AHTS boatday requirements against drilling and production programmes, together with identification of the optimum term and ad-hoc-hire boatday con tracting strategies, within the marketplace. Provide marine support during FPSO Mooring Inspections and Repairs. Organise and implement Drilling Rig movements in respect of site survey data, procedures, mooring analyses, marine equipment, positioning equipment, representative and workscopes control, implementation and co-ordination against company and industry standards. Update and issue Marine Standards in respect of PSV, SBV & AHTS 'fitness for purpose' and associated audit and masters briefing regimes. Identifying and analysing SBV Sharing scenarios against company's offshore asset's infrastructure, together with implementing approved sharing arrangements, in compliance with PFEER & MAR regulations. Review, update and maintain Marine processes and procedures as required. Facilitate out sourced third party Marine Services Contracts. Act as Fisheries Liaison on technical matters. Create procedures and act as interface with FPSO Tanker Operations with respect to Drilling Rig movements. Represent Industry's Marine Safety Forum. Dissemination of new / updated Marine Guidelines/Legislation against marine procedures. Contracting of Marine Charts/Graphics as deemed necessary. Liaising with and supporting the company's Projects, Subsea, Production and Drilling departments on miscellaneous marine matters. The Person The candidate should have demonstrable experience in a similar role and possess the following required knowledge, skills and experience: Extensive commercial awareness of Marine Markets and Services. Excellent PC skills, with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office work packages (Word, Excel etc). Sound knowledge and substantial experience of oil industry marine workscopes. Formal Marine / Degree Qualifications. Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability. Ability to work under pressure without supervision, but as part of a busy Marine Logistics team.
