 Senior Development Geophysicist - ThailandMy Client is a major Operator with both a domestic and international focus. They have a current requirement for a Senior Development Geophysicist ideally with some waterflood experience. The responsibilities of this role will include: • Identify, assess and assure quality all available data and recommend further processing and acquisition as appropriate • Interpret and integrate geophysical data to aid play mapping for sources rock distribution and reservoir characterization /distribution to define play uncertainty, risk and volume • Define/verify subsurface well targets with justification and objectives < BR>• Quantify uncertainties in the volumetric calculation of BR>reserves/resources as well estimation of risk • Develop play and prospect with geologist • Communicate and sell ideas to management • Contribute to knowledge management and best practices and mentor junior staff Qualifications • Relevant degree in Geosciences, with good technical knowledge of geophysical principles and quantitative seismic interpretation techniques • A significant level of experience in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, depth conversion, mapping and prospect generation • Strong interpersonal with effective oral and written communication • Results oriented with ability to prioritize and deliver results • Ability to develop and mentor local junior staff To discuss this position and similar roles please contact Oscar Associates quoting reference ac15912 |
