Our client is a successful international E&P company with significant producing and development assets. We are now seeking a " technical Lead" for the sub-surface team, providing development engineering expertise for shallow and deep water oil-field field discoveries.. Essentially this ole will remain technically hands on, although managing a team, you will have broad technical skills including network modeling package GAP-Prosper, MBAL with simulation experience also desirable. In addition we seek experience of Pressure Transient analysis using Saphire or Pansys.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide management reporting - Status, progress, reserves, and development option reviews.
- Develop well production and delivery profiles for different field production scenarios.
- Provide support for area and field development planning, including full field reviews.
- Establish technically accurate reservoir system descriptions for carbonate and clastic depositional facies for all company sub-surface assets and projects.
- Conduct evaluations of reserves and fluid distributions in individual reservoir systems using integrated Petrophysical, Geological and seismic data.
- Build complex simulation models using Eclipse100 software. Conduct reservoir simulation, history matching for reserves monitoring and optimising recovery efficiency using primary and secondary recovery mechanisms.
- Define standard, special core analysis programmes & interpretation for dynamic reservoir properties for input into analytical and numerical simulation models.
- Liaise with other technical disciplines (drilling, geology, production, operations, commercial) to ensure cohesive and integrated approach to asset evaluations.
- Manage and mentor more junior staff.
- Represent company and partake in commercial and partner meetings.
Key Requirements
- Minimum10 + years experience, in FDP, reserves evaluation, simulation modelling and development engineering in clastic reservoirs
- Masters in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
- Experienced in the application of reservoir engineering principles in reserves optimisation, recovery factors and production under various production strategies in both oil and gas reservoirs.
- Experienced in skills development and mentoring of more junior engineers
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, presenting to management, Government and partners.
- Fluent English, able to compile high quality 'competent persons' report.
