We are looking for two outstanding Geoscientists with a broad exploration, appraisal background. You should be competent in working with both Geology with Geophysics data and experienced in the entire exploration - appraisal - operational, well planning cycle.

This is a truly outstanding opportunity to join small, highly regarded and successful operator that is in the spot-light and going places.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out sub-surface evaluation of new venture opportunities, farm-ins, acquisitions and regional studies
  • Participate in the consistent, detailed and integrated geosciences interpretation of operated and non-operated assets
  • Attend farm-in data-rooms as required
  • Manage the technical aspects of a non-operated and operated assets
  • Provide technical advice and support to senior management and the new ventures and commercial groups
  • Assist with farm-out data-rooms in London as required
  • Liaise closely with the geoscience group in Perth

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in geological or earth sciences Post grad in Petroleum Geology or Petroleum Geophysics
  • At least 8 years' experience working for an operating E&P company
  • Ideally has undergone a geoscience graduate programme with a major/large independent E&P company
  • African deep-water experience
  • Experience in sub-surface (exploration) evaluation through the entire work- flow from planning regional evaluation through seismic planning, operations, processing and interpretation, to prospect generation to finally well planning, operations and post well assessment
  • Current capability with a range of geoscience interpretation and modelling
