Description:

This is a managerial role, taking charge of all company HSE matters and reporting directly to the country manager. The incumbent will have a team of HSE officers & locally employed staff reporting through to him, and we are looking for a competent assertive manger prepared to go residential with a generous leave programme in place.

The ideal candidate will have on-shore operating oil company experience and will be experienced in high H2S regimes and ideally heavy oil.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, Implement and manage HSE framework for entire Kuristan operation
  • Ensure projects adhere to company and regulatory HSE requirements
  • Preparation and management of HSE plans
  • HSE Risk Management
  • Supervises the monitoring of HSE metrics in order to meet Company HSE standards and goals
  • Manage bridging of HSE policies between GKPI and Service Providers
  • Coordinate HSE training of employees to ensure competency of workforce is maintained as required.
  • Ensure GKPI HSE Policies, Procedures and Code of practices are implemented
  • Ensure all related HSE laws and Standards are complied with
  • Efficiently organise and utilise HSE structure across the company
  • Organise and implement any training programs/activities related to HSE aspects
  • Provide support to the management for all necessary information and action related to HSE issues that will impact the company
  • Collaborate with the line management to resolve HSE issues
  • Monitor and analyse the work compliances with the relevant legal requirements.
  • Liaise with the relevant authorities, customers and internal staff on HSE matters.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses in work places and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Responsible For All Safety Management Engaged In Various Multi Safety Activities.
  • Conducting weekly, monthly Safety meetings among Sr. Staffs, Jr. Staffs and workforce.
  • Clients Safety meetings.
  • Conduct Safety workshop to improve safety awareness among staff.
  • Dissemination and implementation of various learning points arrived from the different accidents/incidents.
  • Ensure the relevant documentation is maintained in accordance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standard requirements.
  • Provide Leadership, training and mentoring of local HSE staff and operational support staff.
  • Control observance of safety, occupational safety, production and labour disciplines, and company labour rules; motivate establishment of healthy environment; motivate completion of operational tasks in timely manner and in the best way.
  • Organise HSE audit programme on all activities

Required Skills

  • Degree or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 15+ years hands-on experience in a similar role
  • Extensive experience of Onshore operations in a expanding business environment
  • Experience of high H2S environments
  • HSE Risk Management including design and implementation of schemes
  • Sour gas/oil experience is essential.
  • Must have knowledge of legislation, technical materials related to operational planning and operational management as well as operation production activities of the site.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel and all other relevant packages
  • Emergency response training and facilities safety.
  • Professional attitude promoting the values of the company
  • Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • NEBOSH International Certificate
