Business Manager - Reservoir Services



£ six fig package

Our client is a multi-national global services company. The company's core activity is the provision of outsourced E&P consulting services (seismic through to simulation) and licensed technology solutions.

We now seek a business unit manager to head-up the London technical team and grow/develop the UK & European customer base. This position affords a significant degree of autonomy, encompassing both P&L and strategic steering to the group. We are therefore seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who is inspired, capable and willing to rise to the challenge of driving the business forward.

Candidates will have a minimum of 10 years oil industry experience with a technical sub-surface background and at least 4 years gained in a senior customer facing sales/negotiation capacity.

In summary, responsibilities will be:

  • Plan and execute the sales strategy with revenue forecasting and projections.
  • Develop and expand the sub-region (London, SE UK, Europe, Africa)
  • Operational management of the office, staff resourcing, performance review, resource management, identification and recommendation of training needs, hire/fire…etc
  • Manage business needs to meet defined business goals and objectives and communicate these to the regional manager.
  • Client relationship management and senior focal point for new business negotiation.
  • Controls the sales cycle, and ensures delivered projects meets or exceed customer expectations.
  • Reports and recommends strategies to RM, required to adapt to local market trends.
  • Ensure licensing procedures, paperwork (confidentiality, non-disclosure agreements, maintenance contracts etc) are in place, adhered to and modified where required.
  • Liaise with client and regional financial control.
