Our client is an established international exploration and production company.

As part of a re-organisation, we have been retained to recruit a senior finance leader with an exceptional blend of skills and experience. Applicants will have the vision and drive to propose and implement organisational and procedural change within the finance function as well as supporting decision making and forward strategy.

The role in summary

• Key member of executive team - contributing to corporate strategy and direction of the group. Probable executive director appointment.
• Lead and direct the finance function including evaluation of business financial performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investment managers and other stake-holders.
• Manage corporate financial governance.
• Financial and strategic planning including M&A, fundraising and due diligence in support of the business.
• Ensure robust internal controls and financial processes.
• Manage treasury and cash management.

Requirements

• Extensive background in the oil and gas sector to CFO level. Other natural resources backgrounds will be considered.
• Degree and accountancy qualification essential. MBA useful.
• Excellent track record in negotiating the financial aspects of acquisitions and sales.
• Good network and understanding of corporate finance/equity markets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
