Due to our rapid growth, we are offering an exciting career opportunity for a Geohazards Specialist to join our team based in Woking.

Role: Geohazards Specialist

Reports to: Director
Location: Woking

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to:

  • Take leadership of the Geohazards Function based in Woking
  • Interpretation of, and report production from geohazards data sets.
  • Technical representation.
  • Technical project management plus proposal preparation, contracting, cost monitoring and invoicing aspects of the projects
  • Assist with developing new business opportunities and models for growth.
  • Build the necessary team of specialists, and hardware/software infrastructure to deliver services and products.
  • Demonstrate strong intellectual leadership with high-level input and oversight of all technical work.
  • Keep abreast of regional trends and future requirements.
  • Active participation in executive level meetings.

Experience Required

The candidate should possess:

  • Minimum BSc. in Geophysics, Geology, or related subjects.
  • Minimum of 15 years oil and gas industry experience, with relevant geohazard experience and understanding of drilling, foundation and subsea field development issues.
  • Have a strong knowledge of acquisition, processing and analysis of site survey and seismic data
  • Good interpretation skills and the ability to manage large integrated Geohazard projects
  • Experience of 2D and 3D workstation interpretation.
  • Experience with industry standard software.
  • Strong integrated geo-science skills.
  • Experience in data loading and map production
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Strong reporting, communication and presentation skill
  • The ability to take initiative and understand the needs of a variety of client types.
