RPS Energy services the oil and gas and renewables sectors from operating bases in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Malaysia.

RPS Energy has an established track record with numerous major clients. We are embarking on a major programme of further expansion in this sector and are seeking the right individual to support this expansion with immediate involvement in high profile flagship energy projects.

The role will be to manage RPS Energy's worldwide marine seismic quality control and supervision services which are run from the UK and to provide a focal point for our technical associates and clients.

Role: Marine Seismic Operations/Project Manager

Reports to: Director
Location: Axminster

Main Responsibilities

The key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To maintain and grow the operational marine seismic QC/QA revenue stream
  • To ensure that key commercial targets are met
  • To market marine seismic consultancy services
  • To ensure that all services are conducted in accordance with company and project HSE requirements
  • To maintain regular contact with RPS Energy marine seismic QC associates
  • To recruit additional personnel as needed
  • To ensure that contractual, travel and visa arrangements are in place for the associates
  • To undertake ad hoc technical consultancy work

Experience Required

  • Ideally a minimum of 10 years experience in marine data acquisition with a major geophysical contractor
  • Bachelor's degree in physics or earth sciences
  • It is expected that he / she will have reached the position of Party Chief or similar senior level
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills

The successful applicant will work as part of a team of management and support staff for our seismic operations business stream.
