Reservoir Fluids

South East England

The chance to head up Reservoir Fluids Characterisation
with a leading international operator

A key player in the global energy market, our client is a dynamic growing business with operations in more than 25 countries over five continents. The company is one of the most significant exploration and production businesses in the North Sea with an exciting international portfolio and is recognised as a key innovator and influencer in the industry.

We are keen to recruit a reservoir fluids expert to join our client's Head Office function in a newly created role that will have a strong impact on the continued development of Reservoir Engineering capabilities across the whole business. As guardian of the domain of reservoir fluid characterisation, you will drive the development and implementation of fluid sampling, PVT analysis and reservoir fluids modelling workflows, and act as a focal point for integration with related surface technical functions and other key stakeholders.

Suitable candidates will be reservoir engineering specialists with detailed, hands-on knowledge of state-of-the-art reservoir fluids sampling tools, analysis techniques, software, related workflows and their application to upstream decision making. You should possess a sound understanding of other subsurface and related disciplines with proven ability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment. Excellent team working skills are also vital, with the ability to quickly establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

This is a permanent staff role that will appeal most to someone who is keen to retain an element of hands-on work whilst providing and promoting a specialist reservoir fluids service throughout the client community. You will have the chance to work across the business and at the highest level; therefore visibility and responsibility will be great. As a 'fastest implementer' of new technologies, our client adopts new developments as soon as they are shown to be viable and you will enjoy a high degree of influence in this regard.

Supported by an energised, dynamic, project driven environment, offering plenty of variety, you will be well placed to take advantage of future career development options across the company's exciting global portfolio.

Remuneration:           A comprehensive and attractive remuneration package is available, including flexible                                   benefits and relocation assistance if appropriate.

Location:                   South East England. Some travel will be required, for periodic visits to upstream assets.
