One of their key producing assets is located offshore Thailand where commercial oil production began in June, 2005. The field is located in the Northwest flank of the Gulf of Thailand at a depth of around 660 metres and now comprises six platforms contributing to a production stream of around 20,000 bopd to an FPSO facility. Production has been sustained by focused upgrades to the offshore facilities and active reservoir management including the drilling of a series of horizontal wells utilising a variety of LWD formation evaluation technologies. In addition, the company has recently entered into partnerships to explore and develop two more fields in the Gulf of Thailand. With further development in the region planned, the company is looking for a highly experienced and commercially orientated petroleum engineer. You will play a key role in advising management on all aspects of petroleum, reservoir and development engineering to assist in maximizing the performance and growth of existing assets as well as enhancing new business opportunities. This is a key role, providing technical team leadership and petroleum engineering support for assessing reservoir performance and contributing to field development planning. Heading a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the formulation and execution of reservoir management plans including formulation and planning of infill drilling campaigns, well evaluation and work-over planning, long and short term production forecasting, daily optimisation of production and development planning. You will be expected to carry out field development planning studies with due regard for subsurface uncertainty and risk analysis and have a thorough understanding of budgets and corporate strategies. Applicants should be degree qualified petroleum/reservoir engineers with at least 15 years of broad experience in field operations and production analysis, as well as an understanding of surface facilities and field developments. You will be a team player with demonstrated leadership capability and a proven track record in delivering results in a challenging environment.
