HR Consultant – Oil & Gas Sector

ROLE OVERVIEW & DESCRIPTION
Our client, a blue chip global consultancy, requires an experienced HR Consultant to join their team on their customer’s site in Muscat, Oman.
The role will be to operate as joint lead on a project to assess the skills and competencies of senior staff within our client’s customer. This customer, a leader in the Oil & Gas industry, is going through a period of technological transformation and there is a need to align the skills of its staff with those demanded by the new software and tools that are being deployed. This will initially be a 6 month contract that may be extended.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Acting as joint lead for a skills assessment project
- Assessing the skills of senior staff in our clients customer in the context of the requirements of new software and tools that are being introduced to the customers organisation
- Based on the above skill assessments, make recommendations for
- Training paths for existing personal
- Promotions of existing staff to new positions
- Requirements for hiring new staff
- Potential redeployment of existing staff
- Be instrumental in reshaping the organisation chart of our clients customer
ROLE REQUIREMENTS – SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have:
- 12-15 year’s experience of HR consultancy
- At least 5 years of this time should have been within the Oil & Gas industry
- “Big 4” consultancy experience
- Experience of working closely with C level staff
- Demonstrable experience in People Skill assessment
- Excellent customer facing skills:
- Interpersonal skills
- Tact
- Diplomacy
- Good report writing & presentation skills
ROLE CONTRACT DURATION & RATE
- To $1200USD/day dependent on candidate skills & experience
- This opportunity should be considered as being on a contractor basis and as such the day rate reflects our clients desire to “roll up” any benefits into one figure
- Our client will assist in the process of obtaining any visas and/or work permits
