Fixed Term Contract Position - Jubail, Saudi Arabia

ROLE OVERVIEW & DESCRIPTION
Our client, a blue chip global consultancy, is looking for a IT Financial & Supplier Manager due to increased workloads at a prestigious client in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
This role would suit someone who has previously worked in Saudi Arabia or who is willing to commit to their first posting in the region. It offers a great chance for someone to enter the consultancy sector and as such should be regarded as a chance to gain experience and a foothold. If your sole motivation is to make money tax free then this isn't for you.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Reviewing resolved incidents and identifying potential Problems from the information in the incident records
- Associating incidents with existing problem records or creating new problem records if necessary
- Ensuring problems are dealt with according to agreed timescales and priorities
- Ensuring that accurate and complete information is entered in all problems
- Ensuring that problems are assigned to the appropriate resolver groups for investigation
- Ensuring that resolutions and workarounds to problems are verified
- Deciding whether known error records should be created and whether, if a permanent resolution has been found but not yet implemented, investigation work should continue in order to produce a workaround
- Assessing known errors to determine whether the permanent resolutions could or should be applied
- Closing problem records and known error records when appropriate and informing incident management, so that resolutions or workarounds can be applied to associated Incidents
- Ensuring that all RFCs are reviewed and assessed for their impact on the generation of events
- Defining requirements for events as part of the design lifecycle
- Ensuring that all new configurations items, including infrastructure components, systems and services, have events pre-configured before deployment into the production environment
- Ensuring that monitoring tools are configured with all relevant event information and that, where possible, automated actions are put in place
- Performing reviews of significant events to see how they were handled and look for improvement opportunities
ROLE REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be educated to at least Bachelor degree level
- ITIL qualification, preferably to v3
- It would be an advantage if candidates had an understanding of Arabic
ROLE REQUIREMENTS - SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Basically, candidates should have the skills & responsibilities to be able to carry out the majority of the responsibilities and duties of this role, which are details above. In addition to this though, the following specifics will be required:
- Must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years in an Problem & Event Manager role, preferably dealing with government organisations
- Experience of working within a consultancy organisation would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- The ability to work to deadlines, sometimes under pressure
ROLE CONTRACT DURATION & RATE
- This will be a fixed term contract, initially for 12 months
- Sponsorship and visas to work in KSA will be provided
- Salary will be to $120k p.a
