ROLE OVERVIEW & DESCRIPTION

Our client, a global blue chip consultancy operating in the Oil & Gas sector, requires an IT Technical Analyst with specific knowledge of HP systems to support its work for a SuperMajor oil & gas company.

The overall piece of work is the creation of a single automated repository holding accurate information about the customers global position with regards to use of licensed software/hardware products as well as the people and business process around them. This will require the deployment of two new software tools to carry out the following tasks:

  • An automated inventory & discovery
  • A software asset management

The IT Technical Analyst will work within the team carrying out this work.

This is a fantastic chance to gain experience working within an Oil & Gas SuperMajor.

Please note that applicants should already be able to live and work in the Netherlands, as we will not be able to offer sponsorship for this role.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

The technical analyst will support to our clients project team in an implementation of HP Universal Discovery (uCMDB). Activities will include:

  • Creating detailed designs
  • Configuring the SaaS hosted tool in multiple environments - test, acceptance & production
  • Setting up different scanning engines for inventory & discovery
  • Setting up & building integration for extracting data from the tool
  • Designing data quality & completeness checks
  • Supporting the testing of the tool & analysis of defects
  • Creating system administration guides & work instructions for the support team
  • Training of & knowledge transfer to the support team

ROLE REQUIREMENTS – SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Applicants should have the skills to perform the duties of the role, detailed elsewhere in this job specification but must have experience in the following:

  • HP Universal Discovery / uCMDB
  • HP Connect-IT
  • Network Discovery / Server Inventory

ROLE CONTRACT DURATION & RATE

  • Initial contract duration will be 3 months with possible extensions
  • The rate will be to €475/day, dependent on skills and experience
