MacCulloch FPSO Representative
Contract Position – Offshore from Aberdeen, UK

ROLE OVERVIEW & DESCRIPTION
Our client, a SuperMajor Oil & Gas Operator, requires an FPSO Representative for the MacCulloch field.
This holder of this position will represent the interests of our client and their partners on the non-operated MacCulloch FPSO facility, regarding all production, operational and environmental matters to ensure contractor compliance with the Production Services Agreement that is in place. They will also act as a focal point for all offshore communications between our client and the contracted duty holder.
This position functionally reports to the Plan Of Actions (POA) manager and works directly for the MacCulloch Operations Manager and has no direct reports. The role also supports the MacCulloch Asset Manager and POA Operations and Reservoir Engineers.
The holder of this position must have excellent interpersonal skills as building a successful and sustainable working relationship with North Sea Production Company (NSPC) is essential. This relationship will has to be collaborative yet supervisory at the same time to ensure the expectations of MacCulloch Owners are consistently being met
A key challenge will be to maintain high levels of operating efficiency and safety while also ensuring the required work to ensure vessel class is safely carried out. This is particularly challenging on MacCulloch given the unique commercial arrangements that currently exist and that may change markedly during late life operation.
This is an offshore role based on the MacCulloch FPSO, working a 2 weeks on, 3 weeks off rota.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Represent our client in all aspects of FPSO operations and provide operational support and guidance to the FPSO Offshore Installation Manager
- Monitor and review all production, safety and environmental issues and report on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to the MacCulloch Ops Manager
- Review production issues with reservoir engineer and assist with the strategy for well operation
- Support our clients Asset Manager with contract application issues and interpretations
- Liaise with and discuss all compliance issues with the FPSO Offshore installation Manager (OIM)
- Manage the incident investigation and reporting process offshore in line with our clients requirements
- Ensure environmental consents are adhered to regarding flaring and overboard water discharged
- Provide support to the OIM and emergency team as required during emergencies and to assist with training exercises related to accident scenarios
- Conduct independent safety audits on the installation including active monitoring activities and to demonstrate safety leadership
- Attend offshore meetings and discuss safety and operational status and planned work with the OIM and supervision team
- Develop and implement health and safety Initiatives for use on-board the NSP including “Attaboy” and “Special Thanks” awards and “Safety quiz”
- Deputise for MacCulloch Operations Manager as required
- Be responsible for interpretation, communication and application of well flowing guidelines to and safe & optimum operation of the MacCulloch wells
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all environmental licence conditions for which our client is responsible
- Ensure accurate reporting of all accidents & incidents on MacCulloch and all required Production & Well Data
ROLE REQUIREMENTS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Will have had exposure in the Offshore installation Manager (OIM) role and able to relate directly to the FPSO OIM at that level
- Must be current in OIM’s regulations & safety legislation and should be an assessed Manager of Major Emergencies (MOME)
- Strong promoter and champion of safety culture, metrics and ”journey to zero incidents”
- Must possess excellent communications, interpersonal skills, have the ability to influence others and demonstrate leadership
- Possess a sound understanding of the necessary legislation that applies to the North Sea offshore environment
- Ability to work alone and within a team of contractor personnel
- Have experience at senior supervisor or lead engineer level in offshore production operations.
- Ability to use the standard Microsoft packages for e-mails, spread sheets, word processing and presentations
ROLE REQUIREMENTS – QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must hold or be undertaking
- NVQ Management Level 4
- Internal Auditors qualification
- NEBOSH Diploma
- Safety Leadership training
- A current BOISET certification
ROLE CONTRACT DURATION & RATE
- The contract will initially be for 12 months duration
- The contract is negotiable but will be influenced by candidates skills, experience and qualifications
