ROLE OVERVIEW & DESCRIPTION
Our client, a global blue chip consultancy, requires has the need for an Energy Components Specialist to join its team on the site of its customer, an Oil & Gas SuperMajor Operator in Aberdeen, UK.
The ideal candidate will be a technical specialist in the production module of Tieto’s Energy Components toolset. The role is part of a project to upgrade legacy production reporting systems across all of the North Sea assets of our client’s customer. Currently seven assets have been delivered and four remain. The role will work across the remaining assets under direction from the individual asset leads and report directly to the project manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an Oil & Gas SuperMajor Operator.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Build out allocations in the system based on documentation from asset lead
- Take ownership to resolve Pi tag issues with relevant personnel
- Coordinate with Test Manager on the testing track
- Coordinate with Deployment Coordinator on scripting and testing required for deployments into shared hosting
- Provide a weekly updates to Project Manager
- Conform to and use Global Templates and adoption of best practice and lessons learned across projects
- Work with the Project Solution Architect to drive uptake, assure compliance and maintain key architecture artefacts
- Ensure that architecture blueprints are maintained to properly reflect the as-built condition
- Create data migration plans and scripts under supervision of the asset leads
- Review and update of relevant asset documentation
ROLE REQUIREMENTS - SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- 8+ year's experience of Tieto's Energy Components, with significant exposure to the Production Module
- Upstream Oil / gas domain experience
- Good understanding of the Hydrocarbon Management business process from the reservoir through operations to export
- Detailed knowledge of version 10.x of the EC software components and associated data model
- Proven track record for successfully deploying EC systems within E&P Companies and experience of the Tieto PFA process
- Experience in the migration of data sets from previous systems, as well as from EC
- Working with ECIS and PI interface or other similar data historian
DESIRABLE
- Oracle/SQL Knowledge
- Use of spread-sheet engine
- Use of business work flow implementation (for example in BPDM)
- Use of templates within EC production implementations
ROLE CONTRACT DURATION & RATE
- A contract rate of up to £G500/day is available
- The contract will be for 6 months initially, with extensions being available
- Alternatively, there is a possibility of a permanent position being available with salary of c.£45-55k and a good benefits package
