Engineering Technician/Assistant

Brief client details: Client is an independent oil & gas operator based in Aberdeen - dynamic and fast moving - never content with status quo. Their credo is growth, and they've grown rapidly. Here's what they are looking for you to do:

The principal job responsibility is to provide support to their production and reservoir engineering team. Examples of possible work duties include:

  • Gathering and assessing production and reservoir data (e.g., pressures) for use in engineering studies
  • Maintaining databases used to prepare reports for governmental bodies, industry organizations, and partners
  • Applying engineering software tools to analyze well and reservoir performance data (with coaching as required from engineering staff)

Job requirements and qualifications:

Strong educational qualifications (probably degree qualified) from technical fields such as mathematics, physics, chemistry etc. Analogous prior experience in the upstream oil and gas industry will be helpful but not required. Advancement beyond the initial role is definitely possible for highly motivated and talented individuals. Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, are required.

Salary:very competitive (dependent upon current experience)
