General Manager - Drilling Equipment/Engineering Services

Brief client details: Our client, an independent UK company specialising in the supply of drilling and production equipment along with integrated engineering services, based near Aberdeen, is looking for a General Manager.

The client's services include:

• Engineering services including Mechanical and Hydraulic, Electrical and Electronic for onshore and offshore projects.
• Wellhead systems supply, design, engineering and manufacturing.
• Project & supply chain management.
• On & Offshore Engineering service support

Job Overview:

You will have control of all the client's activities with regard to such things as conductor pipe and casing, 'OTCG', wellhead equipment and BOP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Profitability of the client
• Continued growth and success of the client in the industry
• Ultimately you will be controlling the whole operations of the company

Job requirements:

• Strong commercial background in trading in the commercial products above
• Need to be fully familiar with drilling/completions operations
• Several years offshore experience in an operational role preferably working for a drilling contractor, operator or similar service company.
• Detailed knowledge of 'OTCG' wellhead/tree systems
• In depth engineering knowledge
• You will be need to fully conversant with pricing of products and services and what the trends are within the client's industry

For the successful candidate this position might lead to a directorship within the company.

Salary: £35k - £45k + bonus + bens (dependent upon current experience)
