Brief client details: Our client, a leading independent oil and gas exploration and production company is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineering Technician to be based in their Aberdeen office.

Job Purpose:

• Support the Operations group with Reserves studies, preparation of forecasts and budgets and data management

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

• Providing support in the gathering, compilation, analysis and consolidation of technical and financial data into reserve reports
• Responsible for setting-up and maintenance of the reserves database. Managing data, updating and QC for quarterly and year end studies.
• Gathering and consolidation of production, presentation and other data in support of reserve evaluations.
• Support the consolidation of quarterly production forecasts and budgets
• Responsible for setting-up, managing and maintenance of the production database. Update and QC on a daily basis for management reporting.
• Providing link to Finance group for reserves and budget updates
• Management of shared drive folders for Asset data
• General technical support for the operations group in Aberdeen

Qualifications and job requirements:

• Preferably degree educated in a numerical discipline
• Very strong direct industry experience, preferably in a similar role
• Knowledge of Reservoir Engineering practices
• Preferably some knowledge of Reserves evaluation methodology
• Highly competent in Microsoft Office, preferably expert user in Excel
• Experience of data management and working knowledge of standard database software
• Previous experience with industry oil & gas reserves / economic database program is preferred

Salary: market rates (dependent upon current experience)
