Shell Canada is currently seeking a Geotechnical Technologist (U21211) for their Calgary location.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting geotechnical construction drawings for tailings dams,waste dumps,and other large earth structures.
• Drafting figures for technical presentation,memoranda,letters and reports.
• Controls,files and distributes construction drawings,geotechnical documents and laboratory data.

Requirements:

• Registered technologist with ASET or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in drafting construction drawings for large earthworks projects, preferably dams; managing technical databases and document quality management systems.
• Good knowledge of earthworks construction, preferably by mining scale equipment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Skilled with 2-D and 3-D drafting and modeling software for quantity estimates.
