Their business model relies on aggressive growth targets through acquisition of production, re-development of mature fields, development of stranded assets and appraisal of discoveries. Having recently opened a UK office, they now seek the following technical professionals to play a major part in the company's expansion. For the right applicant there is the opportunity of becoming UK Director within a few years. LEAD GEOSCIENTIST (Ref: S101)The Position Responsible for identification and capture of new business opportunities, participating in data room evaluations and licensing round applications. Provide geoscience expertise in the farm-in and acquisition process as well as reserves auditing and field development planning. Broad remit covering both regional and prospect scale. Qualifications High calibre geoscience able to make important technical contributions to strategic business decisions. Minimum of 10 years' experience with a major or independent oil company. Expert knowledge of North Sea play types. Highly developed seismic interpretation and mapping skills essential. Well versed in risk analysis and economic analysis of projects. SENIOR PETROLEUM ENGINEER (Ref: S102)The Position Provide petroleum engineering expertise to identify and evaluate new business opportunities in line with corporate strategy. Coordinate in-house resources and/or external consultants to complete the most appropriate evaluation. Provide guidance on reservoir and production engineering issues for all development projects and exploration activities. Qualifications Petroleum engineering graduate, ideally with an MSc and 15+ years' experience in oil and gas industry with a respected operator. Good understanding of North Sea operations and production techniques, commercial aspects of development projects and previous exposure to data room evaluations. Broad expertise including classical reservoir engineering and petrophysics. BUSINESS ANALYST (Ref: S103)The Position Support decision-making in all areas of business development activity, particularly valuation of farm-in and acquisition opportunities in the North Sea, development of business strategies and new business concepts. Assist with licence specific commercial activities and provide necessary competitor analysis and market intelligence. Qualifications Graduate in engineering, science or economics, with 5+ years' relevant experience gained with either an E&P company or respected consultancy. Strong analytical skills essential. Knowledge of investment appraisal techniques, field development, negotiations and tax and commercial issues is important.
