UPSCALING FOR NEW CHALLENGESTask Geoscience is growing to meet the needs of the expanding global market in oil and gas. As part of this expansion we would like to recruit experienced geologists to fill the following positions in our offices in the UK, Australia and USA SEDIMENTOLOGIST - qualified to MSc or PhD level with experience in fluvial, deep or shallow marine siliciclastic systems and or carbonate environments. It would be an advantage to have previous experience of the sedimentological interpretation of borehole images or cores and/or core logging. STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST - qualified to MSc or PhD level with experience of fold, fault and fracture characterisation and the analysis of in-situ stress. Working knowledge of stereographic projection techniques, 3D model building and rock mechanics is desirable. It would also be an advantage to have previous experience of the structural interpretation of borehole images or cores. For each discipline, strong skills in the presentation and reporting of data would be highly advantageous together with knowledge of petrophysical interpretation techniques and/or experience in Terrastation, or Recall software.The applicants for all posts should be self-starters with a proven record to work to a high standard, to tight deadlines and with the motivation necessary to develop and grow these disciplines within Task Geoscience. A willingness to travel would be an advantage. Applicants will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in their chosen location.
