The Geological Products and Services' division located in Stavanger is predominately focused on exploration and seeks a Geologist with preferably 5 years experience or more. The candidate must have a degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Geology or related discipline and ideally a postgraduate qualification.

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists and petrophysicists in the Stavanger office. Additionally, the position will involve working closely with geoscientists in London carrying out geological work related to TGS' products and services.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head Geologist, the work will include:

• Provision of geological input into regional and prospect specific exploration projects, as well as field scale projects
• License Round Applications
• Sequence stratigraphic updates to the TGS Facies Map Browser

Preferences:

The successful candidate must have previous experience including a selection of the following:

• Sequence Stratigraphic interpretation of well logs
• License Applications (Norway or UK preferred)
• Prospect generation and evaluation
• Play fairway evaluations
• Petroleum Resource Estimation
• Regional reviews

Package:

Competitive Base Salary with an attractive Bonus Scheme, plus excellent benefit package is offered, depending on skills and experience. Bonus paid on quarterly basis.
