Job Overview:

Company: TGS Geological Products and Services provide unique subsurface geoscience solutions to the Oil & Gas industry. The scope of the G&G services available from our London and Stavanger offices contribute to clients’ exploration, appraisal and development asset cycle.

Position:

It is ideal for someone desiring to enhance their career in a dynamic, multidisciplinary and rapidly expanding company, with the opportunity to learn new technical skills or develop into a full sales role.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Business Development Manager - you will, among other things, be expected to:

  • Provide installation and geotechnical support through direct contact with clients
  • Improve the quality and expand the scope of technical support processes and workflows.
  • Track, evaluate and solve support requests.
  • Conduct training for clients
  • Identify client needs and promote the use of the Company’s applications
  • Liaise with the application development team, making supported recommendations for improvements or new capabilities.
  • Liaise with the sales team to improve and expand client base
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and writing technical documentation.

Preferences:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree in Geophysics or Geology essential
  • 2-5 years experience within the Oil and Gas industry essential.
  • Experience providing software support or/and training, relating to G&G applications, data stores and/or system environments essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, essential.
  • Self-motivated, able to act independently with minimum supervision while remaining a strong team player.
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic and highly flexible.
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Some practical understanding of oil company G&G workflows desirable.
  • G&G data loading experience highly advantageous.

Salary: An attractive base salary is on offer, dependent on skills and experience.
