EXPLORATION MANAGER

TOROS Resources is a vibrant new oil and gas exploration company focused on unravelling large resource plays in select international locations. In addition to its exploration team, in 2012 the company established TOROS Well Services Ltd, a completion group that will take delivery of its first state of art frac crew in early third quarter 2013. The newly appointed exploration manager will have the opportunity to join and lead the team at the early stages of both exploration and company development.

• Lead regional studies of key areas to evaluate exploration potential
• Coordinate subsurface modelling and data room evaluations
• Identify risks associated with exploration projects and provide recommendations to reduce uncertainty
• Mature prospects to drillable status and provide input to economic models
• Undertake well planning, operations support and post well analysis
• Provide technical input to management and investor meetings

Requirements

• Degree level education in Earth Science field, preferably MSc level in Petroleum Geoscience
• Minimum 15 years industry experience
• Experience in conducting regional assessments of exploration prospectivity
• Experience of evaluating subsurface opportunities using a wide range of geological, geophysical and petrophysical data
• Strong communication skills, high degree of self-motivation and strong sense of personal integrity essential

Location

TOROS Resources is headquartered in London, UK however, home working and extensive travel will be expected.
