Data and Application AdministratorJob description: In this position, you will support geo-applications (Landmark) and seismic data loading (Landmark and Petrel) for the Exploration Department. You will support the Exploration Department in their efforts to find, appraise, develop and produce commercial oil and gas, by managing applications and data for geologists, geophysicists and petrophysicists. Your responsibilities will include loading and processing seismic data within the Exploration Department (in both application suites Landmark and Petrel), and managing software applications, licenses, versions and installations. You will liaise with the IT team on matters concerning installations, upgrades and related technical issues. In addition, you will monitor software developments and new applications, provide support in processing (load, export, cut-out, copy, sync, cleanup, backup) and finding primarily digital seismic data within the Exploration Department databases. You will provide support in scripting and querying the database systems, as well as application support (seismic oriented G&G applications) for the Exploration Department. Furthermore, you will liaise with the Archive Administrator on matters regarding seismic data management, and keep abreast of technical developments in your own fields, while at the same time developing your knowledge of other disciplines. Your team: The successful candidate will join the Exploration Department in Rijswijk, the Netherlands. Requirements: The self-motivated team player we are looking for is proficient in English and preferably has a background in geology or geophysics. The position requires proven knowledge of the software, hardware and systems mentioned, and general knowledge of Windows and Linux systems. Furthermore, the successful candidate is eager to learn and able to adapt and contribute within an active group environment.All required trainings which are necessary to support the Landmark Geology & Geophysics suite and possible other vendor applications are in place within the company.
