Job Overview: A leading global oil services Company, offering a broad range of services such as seismic data acquisition, processing, reservoir analysis/interpretation and multi-client library datasets, seeks various levels of Depth Imaging Specialists to further expand their Depth Imaging group. Applicants are invited with a strong background in Depth Imaging. The roles offer great career potential and the Company is fully committed to providing training wherever necessary.

The Company holds an enviable reputation for providing advanced depth imaging services. They have a very active R&D group who interact closely with the Depth Imaging teams to ensure that the technology portfolio is industry-leading and continually developing. The ability to deploy new technology quickly will be a key part of the roles.

The Company is looking to recruit Depth Imaging specialists to senior level positions including Senior Geophysicist, Team Leader and Supervisor within the existing team.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Area Depth Imaging Manager your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Become competent in the Company's technologies, processes and practices.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects ensuring timely delivery with high technical standards
  • Ensure latest technical standards and methodology are deployed on all projects
  • Follow company project management and quality policies and procedures. Participate in their review and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Participate in promotion and deployment of new technology where appropriate by collaborating with R&D and Marketing departments
  • Where applicable, be formally responsible for either individuals or a larger team reporting into you.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensure there is opportunity for staff to achieve KPIs
  • Undertake mentoring and coaching for all direct reports in technical workflows but also project management tasks
  • International travel may be required to attend client meetings or internal and external technical conferences

There are great opportunities for individuals who are competent in depth-imaging techniques and have the ability and desire to further develop their technical, project management and client facing skills.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:

  • A Degree in Earth Sciences, Geophysics, Physics or related Discipline essential. MSc or PhD highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years seismic processing experience essential.
  • Strong background in Depth Imaging essential. This must include hands on experience of building complex anisotropic velocity models
  • Exposure to data from a wide variety of geological settings is essential.
  • Previous experience supporting, mentoring or leading teams highly advantageous.
  • Can work independently and also be an excellent team player, with the ability to work with all levels within the Company to accomplish goals.
  • Good project management skills -the ability to prioritise competing demands, focus, and make decisions.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to clearly convey information and technical content internally, to partners and clients.
  • Good client facing skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be service orientated.

Package: A range of positions are available - An attractive salary of between £40K-70K plus bonus scheme and company benefits is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
