Job Overview:
A leading International Services Company in the Oil and Gas industry seek a Marketing Manager to lead the implementation of marketing and communications programs that are consistent with regional strategies, goals, and revenue targets for Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa (ESSA). The prime focus will be to build market awareness and drive market-share growth in the company's next generation of oil and gas software technologies. Applicants are invited with at least 4 years of a broad marketing background, especially in devising and communicating focused marketing programs. Experience in the oil and gas industry and in marketing technologies highly advantageous. The key to this role is the ability to deliver effective marketing programs.

Working as part of the ESSA regional technology solutions and technical pre-sales teams you will work closely with the sales/business development managers, corporate and field marketing, and product marketing managers to implement marketing programs that meet the region's business objectives. The Company use external providers when needed and you will manage all stakeholders involved in the successful execution of a marketing program.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Regional Commercialization Manager your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Become knowledgeable of the Company's workflows, technologies and consulting practices.
- Be responsible for creating and executing effective marketing and communications campaigns that meet the needs of the local business and market.
- Work closely with the regional technical pre-sales team, ensuring that they are aware of new technologies, their benefits, message to be projected, the roll out plans, their involvement in marketing events etc.
- Work closely with regional sales/business development manager, ensuring that they are championing current and new technologies effectively with clients, they have appropriate marketing materials, project a consistent message, are well supported in their business objectives etc.
- Work closely with corporate (based in the US) and field marketing, and product marketing managers to implement marketing programs that meet the region's business objectives.
- Key focus will be on the successful delivery of marketing materials, communications, events and conference participation, and PR campaigns, and demonstrating return on investment. Each campaign will detail the marketing mix, players, responsibilities, timeline etc.
- In alignment with corporate strategies, you will devise ESSA marketing campaigns, based upon the regional needs as determined by local market intelligence and from territory or client account plans.
- Work closely with clients to improve the sales force effectiveness. Understand this client base, their challenges and constraints, how the Company's technologies can support their objectives and how the appropriate message can be communicated - e.g. road-shows, lunch meetings, exhibitions, presentations, case studies etc.
- Help to devise and deliver web content and other communications for use internally as needed.
- Keep abreast of competitive technology companies in the oil and gas industry - e.g. new technologies, benefits, target groups, how they are being marketed to…
- As required, travel to marketing events with sales/ business development managers and pre-sales.
- Build relationships with key industry event organisers - promote having the Company's technologies showcased at these events.
- Be proactive in developing your knowledge of the oil and gas industry, the players, technologies, challenges, trends, effective marketing….
- Ensure all marketing activities are delivered efficient and effectively - within specified budgets, time constraints and meet objectives.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:
- Degree or college-level training preferred.
- A dynamic motivated individual with a minimum of 4 years in a marketing, sales or communications role essential. Preferably in a marketing role either at field or corporate level.
- Proven ability to devise and implement marketing campaigns and drive new initiatives essential - preferably at regional level.
- A strong understanding of marketing principals essential.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry highly desired.
- Experience in marketing technology software solutions highly desired.
- A strong focus/appreciation of the importance of continually raising the perception of a company through effective marketing activities essential
- Personality and confidence to build strong relationships at all levels with peers and stakeholders.
- Previous experience working effectively with external marketing communication suppliers highly desired. The ability to engage and manage these suppliers within your program is key.
- Good project management skills - with the ability to multitask and deliver successfully.
- Strategically orientated with attention to detail but the vision to see the big picture.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - comfortable presenting proposed marketing activities and plans for buy-in.
- Assertive, confident, self-motivated and responsive individual with sound judgement and pragmatic in approach.
- Ambitious with high energy levels, drive and enthusiasm.
- Assertive - able to achieve goals in a pleasant and effective manner.
- Has a "hands-on" approach but can engage peers and external suppliers to assist as needed.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
