- Experience working on seismic data from a variety of geological settings essential.
- Proven experience in processing single and multi-component 2D, 3D and 4D seismic land, transition zone and marine data from a variety of geological settings in support of exploration, appraisal and production projects highly desired.
- Familiar with a variety for approaches used to construct (and assess the suitability of) velocity models for use in subsurface imaging and will have an understanding of using borehole, VSP and non-seismic data to constrain such models essential.
- Knowledge of travel time computation techniques as well as advanced imaging algorithms.
- Proven knowledge of industry standard techniques in noise suppression, multiple suppression and imaging technologies. (Experience gained preferably with a seismic processing contractor, within the processing / technology team of an established O&G operator or within a leading industry-focussed academic research institute).
- Hands-on field experience desired - preferably using a variety of geophysics techniques such as seismic, gravity, magnetic, EM, MT - for use in both conventional as well as high-resolution exploration and engineering geophysics projects.
- Appreciation of the impact of seismic data acquisition configurations on derived seismic attributes.
