The Company provides solutions that are used in the search for oil & gas, finding applications on land, on the oceans' surface and on the seabed. Technologies are applied in traditional 2D and 3D seismic surveys and in rapidly growing areas like time-lapse 4D reservoir monitoring and multi-component data acquisition. Their solutions incorporate a comprehensive toolkit that enables seismic acquisition contractors and oil & gas companies to design and implement successful 2D, 3D, 4D and multi-component land and marine seismic imaging surveys anywhere in the world.

Their Reservoir Services Group which is well-established uses high-quality Q.I. geophysicists and other staff, and leading-edge tools, to extract the maximum amount of subsurface information from processed seismic data. This enables clients make improved decisions in exploration, appraisal, field development and production. They employ and integrate: petrophysics, rock physics, geological modeling, seismic data conditioning, seismic inversion, AVO analysis, seismic attribute interpretation, geocellular modeling and discrete fracture network modeling technologies, among others.

Working in the UK office, you will maintain strong coordination with the Global Reservoir Services Director and project staff based in Houston. You will work with rock physics experts and other geoscientists on integrated subsurface projects for oil industry clients. Projects will include both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Multi-component seismic data could be a significant part of some projects. You will support the sales and business development team in positioning and promoting these QI services at tradeshows and at client meetings.

Working in a premium team of seismic geophysicists and geoscientist you will gain exposure to global integrated subsurface projects. You will strive to enhance your QI expertise, keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in methodologies, workflows and technologies.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree, Master's preferred, or PhD in Geophysics or Geology
  • The Company welcomes applicants from mid to senior level hands on Quantitative Interpretation experience essential.
  • Some experience of Q.I project work in at least conventional reservoirs preferred.
  • Strong seismic data conditioning skills and background in seismic inversion of pre-stack and stacked P-wave data essential. Any experience with multi-component (e.g., converted wave) inversion would be a significant plus.
  • Experience with Hampson-Russell software and/or Fugro-Jason software, or ability to learn them quickly essential.
  • Ability to learn the Company's proprietary rock physics and seismic inversion software quickly.
  • Ability to work well on projects on a multi-disciplinary team with some of the team members located internationally essential.
  • Strong presentation skills and commercial skills and ability to interact well with men and women from diverse cultures.
  • Ability to listen carefully to oil industry clients, understand their key risks and uncertainties, and target appropriate QI tools to solve them.
  • Ability to work and deliver projects on a reasonable timeline that meets customer needs.
  • Highly flexible - ability to adapt to new project challenges, technologies and work practices.
  • Ambition to succeed and advance your career - enhancing your technical skills in QI, becoming an industry expert.
  • Strong appreciation of professional service delivery from requirement definition to delivery to end-client.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a positive approach.

Package: The Company welcomes mid - to - senior level applicants and a salary range of £65K to £100K will be considered. Plus a bonus scheme plus Company benefits.
