Job Overview: A leading provider of subsurface processing and imaging solutions to the energy industry immediately seek a senior Seismic Processor.

This rapidly growing international Company is committed to providing accurate seismic images for their oil and gas industry clients worldwide. Their integrated service approach, which includes the entire seismic process, significantly reduces the risk and cost of finding and producing petroleum and has earned them a high reputation and an established client base.

Their image driven seismic solutions incorporate seismic acquisition, pre-migration time processing, prestack depth and time imaging and multicomponent, all of which adds immense value to their client's seismic data. They are the leading provider of prestack depth imaging and this strength is at the core of their Seismic solutions.

As an experienced seismic processor, you will undertake and lead seismic processing projects. You will process marine 3D seismic data using Landmark's processing application 'Promax' and the company's proprietary software. You may also undertake projects relating to land and multicomponent processing. As a senior member of the processing team, you will be expected to mentor more junior staff, sharing knowledge and ideas.

The Company are recognised as offering leading processing consulting services to their clients. Through out your projects, you will liaise with clients, understanding clearly their project requirements, deliverables and constraints. You will achieve a high level of satisfaction in the delivery of consulting services.

Working on technically demanding projects, you will quickly gain exposure to a wide range of seismic challenges, leading geophysical technologies and established consulting practices.

The Company are aware that you may need training in new disciplines and products and are fully committed to providing all necessary training - some of which will be at their Houston head office.

This is a great opportunity for a senior seismic data processor who has experience in using industry processing software and an interest in further developing their career working for an expanding imaging company, with an excellent reputation in this field.

Preferences: The successful candidate will have:

  • A Degree in Earth Sciences, Geophysics, Physics or related Discipline essential.
  • 5-10 years seismic processing experience essential.
  • Experience in processing 3D Marine data essential. Land and multicomponent processing highly desirable.
  • Experienced in using a mainstream Industry processing application such as GeoDepth, Omega, GeoVecteur, Focus, Promax, etc.; essential. Promax highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of AVO, attribute analysis and/or interpretative processing, highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Prestack Migration advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal skills - the ability to work with all levels within the Company to accomplish goals.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Project management skills with the ability to work to deadlines, and conclude projects successfully.
  • Self motivated with the ability to undertake projects effectively.
  • Desire to become part of a small team dedicated to providing advanced seismic imaging solutions.
  • Attention to detail and processes.
  • Highly flexible - ability to adapt to new project challenges and work practices.
  • Must be service orientated.
  • Willingness to travel

Salary: A base salary of £40K-£50K plus Company benefits is on offer dependent on skills and experience.
